My comment about him not being able to weight bear on his feet was based on the assumption that you meant standing unsupported rather than him standing on his feet when you support his weight (I wouldn't expect unsupported standing until later which is why I said it may be due to his age). I am sorry for this mis-understanding of language.
You are right, by this age most infants will take some supported weight on their legs and when they are not the reason for this should be determined and addressed.
As outlined in my previous message, I do think it would be a good idea to have an osteopathic assessment. If you would rather wait until the doctors have seen him this is fine, but osteopathy will add something different which can work alongside anything which the doctors/physios will do.
