Unsettled 5 week old

My little girl is 5 weeks old and is generally a very happy, chatty baby but about a week ago she started having one session of inconsolable crying/screaming a day - usually in the middle of the night but occasionally in the afternoon. She gets hysterical and won't feed afterwards which is distressing for all of us. She is breastfed. We have tried Infacol and it seems to help a bit, but if it is colic I was wondering if cranial osteopathy would help as we have been recommended it by several people.

Something else which may or may not be relevent is that she is a very noisy baby. Other than the episodes mentioned above, she doesn't cry much but she constantly makes noises - chattering, grunting and various animal like sounds. Either awake or asleep.

Many thanks

Osteopaths working with children within the Foudation's clinics have much expertise relating to assessing and treating unsettled babies.

The techniques used by the Foundation's osteopaths are gentle yet effective to remove strains and tensions within the body which can contribute to the "unsettled" picture you discribe. We will not be able to determine how much we can help without assessing but many parents of unsettled babies report significant relief from our treatment.

Whilst the osteopaths who work at the Foundation's clinics have expertise related to cranial techniques, they also have or are undergoing specialist training related to treatment of children.
